Hormone Therapy
Restore Balance & Reclaim Your Youth
What Is Hormone Therapy?
Hormone therapy is a medical treatment designed to restore hormonal balance in the body. As we age, hormone levels naturally fluctuate, leading to various physical and emotional changes.
Hormone therapy helps replenish and regulate these essential hormones, improving overall well-being and quality of life. This therapy is commonly used to address symptoms of hormonal imbalances, including those associated with aging, menopause, and andropause.

What Happens to our Hormones as we Age?
As we grow older, our hormone levels gradually decline, affecting various bodily functions. Estrogen and progesterone levels in women drop significantly during menopause, leading to symptoms such as hot flashes and mood swings.
In men, testosterone levels decrease, impacting muscle mass, energy levels, and overall vitality. Other hormones, such as growth hormone and melatonin, also decline, contributing to sleep disturbances and slower metabolism.

What Happens when Our Hormones Decline?
A decline in hormones can lead to a variety of symptoms that affect daily life. Common effects include fatigue, mood swings, reduced muscle mass, and difficulty maintaining a healthy weight.
Women may experience night sweats, memory issues, and bone density loss, while men may struggle with reduced libido and cognitive decline.
Hormonal imbalances can also contribute to increased risks of osteoporosis, cardiovascular issues, and metabolic disorders.

What are the Different Types of Hormone Therapy?
There are various forms of hormone therapy designed to address specific imbalances:
-
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) uses hormones that are structurally identical to those naturally produced in the body.
-
Traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) involves synthetic hormones to manage symptoms of hormonal decline.
-
BHRT is safer than traditional HRT as it mimics your body's normal physiological structure. This leads to less risk and side effects than traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy.
AT Drip IV, we offer topical creams, patches, and oral medications, all tailored to individual needs and hormone levels.

What are the Different Administration Routes for BHRT?
BHRT can be delivered through several methods depending on your individual needs and lifestyle.
Common administration routes include topical creams and gels, skin patches, injections, and oral hormones. Each option offers unique benefits, and your provider will help determine the best route to optimize your hormone balance and overall wellness.
-
Is Hormone Replacement Therapy Safe?
The safety of hormone therapy depends on individual health conditions, the type of hormones used, and how they are administered.
Research suggests that bioidentical hormones may have fewer side effects compared to synthetic hormones. However, like any medical treatment, hormone therapy carries potential risks, including an increased risk of certain cancers and cardiovascular events.
Consulting with a healthcare provider ensures a personalized approach that maximizes benefits while minimizing risks.
