It only takes 45 minutes for a person to become dehydrated at 90 degrees Fahrenheit. For those of you that live in the South and work outside, you know how difficult it is to stay healthy and hydrated!

It is recommended that people drink 11-16 cups of water a day in order to stay hydrated. We all know how that can be really difficult to keep up with for those who are elbows-deep (literally and figuratively) into a stressful, big project.

What we're covering:

  1. Why Hydration is Important
  2. Signs of Dehydration

Why Hydration is Important

We lose water through breathing, sweating, bowel movements and urination, making it important that we replenish our bodies' water supply.

Staying hydrated plays a critical role in our day-to-day lives:

Hydration is important for our bodies as it is crucial to regulating body temperature, keeping our joints lubricated, preventing infections, delivering nutrients to cells, and keeping our organs functioning properly.

Signs & Symptoms of Dehydration

The shortage of fluids in our bodies while being dehydrated can result in a number of effects. Dehydration signs and reactions in adults include:

  • feeling extremely thirsty
  • dark yellow and strong-smelling urine
  • less frequent urination (fewer than 4 times a day)
  • feeling dizzy, lightheaded, confused or fatigued
  • dry mouth, lips and eyes

In addition to being dehydrated, you also risk the chance of heat stress. Some of the symptoms of heat stress include nausea, difficulty breathing, and change in body temperature. Learn more about other heat illness symptoms and prevention here.

How you can reduce the risk of dehydration?

Drink fluids when you feel any dehydration symptoms and try IV vitamin infusions when dehydrated. Click below to find out more on our Hydration IV.

Drip IV for Dehydration

The Hydration IV rapidly replenishes fluids in your body in ways that drinking water can't.

Hydration IV therapy helps balance our bodies with not only fluids, but electrolytes and antioxidants to enhance your physical and mental performance. Several vitamins aid in hydration including vitamins A, C, and E. While there are over-the-counter vitamins that contain these nutrients, infusion therapy ensures a higher percentage of absorption of the nutrients your body needs.

By receiving just one Hydration IV drip, our bodies are receiving the hydration equivalent of two gallons of water. Benefits of Drip IV's Hydration IV:

  • Restores hydration
  • Prevents dehydration
  • Prevention of arthritis
  • Reduces heart disease risk
  • Boosts the metabolism to burn calories faster
  • Improves conditions causes by allergies and asthma
  • Flushes out lactic acid to help recover from muscle soreness
  • Detoxifies the body and reduces inflammation

How It Works:

  • Corporate or group discounts are offered to parties with a commitment of 4 drips or more

  • Payment is collected upfront with a minimum of $436

  • Monthly payment is reoccurring but can change amount of drips/month (w/ min. of 4) or cancel at anytime – no commitment!

  • This offer is available immediately once agreement with the owner/manager of the business and our management has been made.

  • Inform your employees by sending them directly to our clinic or book an appointment online for them to come in.

  • Upon arrival, the employee should inform our staff which company they work for and provide proof of their employment. We will then deduct the charge from the pre-paid account. Any approved drips that are not pre-paid will be charged to the company card on file.

  • It will be the employees responsibility to pay for any additional services/add-ons outside of the hydration drip.

How Drip IV Can Help

Overall, well-hydrated people feel better, are more focused, have increased energy, and work better while on the job. Not to mention it can help you avoid unnecessary trips to the ER!
